A fifty-year-old local patriot who built arenas for his town and raised champions refuses to slow down. When he is beating his own son in a Muay Thai ring, he has to face the hardest question of all: what price does a life without brakes exact?
Synopsis
Radek Horák of Trutnov knows no compromise. At fifty he is in a physical condition that fighters a generation younger envy, and his rule for living is plain: better to wear out than to rust. This raw documentary portrait catches him as an unstoppable force — the man behind eleven editions of the cult international BikeHall competition, five lavish Highlanders Night combat sports galas at the Uffo centre, four years of Scottish highland games in the town, and one enormous concrete skatepark. He poured his heart into the running of Trutnov’s sports facilities and finally entered local politics, so that he could change things from the inside rather than just complain about them.
